The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has launched its “Transforming Tomorrow” initiative, introducing 15 major projects designed to support community growth and development in the Maldives. The projects were unveiled at a ceremony in Hulhumale’ Central Park, attended by Economic Development Minister Mohamed Saeed.
These projects include 2,000 social housing units, various private row houses, and a range of facilities and attractions to enhance local infrastructure and recreational opportunities. Among the developments is the Isle Adventure Park, which will feature a racing track, go-kart track, roller skating rink, and water theme park. HDC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with City Developments Pvt Ltd to oversee the design and training needed for the park’s operations.
In addition to housing projects, HDC also plans to construct exclusive clubhouses, a dedicated office complex for state-owned enterprises, and a gated luxury community in Farukolhufushi. Plans include the development of a History Center, a Knowledge Park, and “Nooveli” luxury homes in the lagoon.
These initiatives align with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s vision for island development, aiming to create diverse living and working spaces that will support the economic and social needs of the community.
