Dhiraagu, a leading telecom operator in the Maldives, has announced the opening of applications for its 2025 Apprenticeship Program.
As the first of its kind in the country, this initiative is a key part of Dhiraagu’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts. The program aims to empower youth by offering structured educational training, enhancing their professional skills, and providing exposure to a corporate working environment.
Participants in the program will have the opportunity to “earn while they learn,” gaining practical, on-the-job experience across various fields within Dhiraagu. These include Administration, Brand and Marketing Communications, Corporate Services, Deployment Support Services, Financial Accounting, Human Resources, Network Operations, Product and Solution Development, Revenue Assurance & Business Control, and Roaming & Carrier Services.
Apprentices will also benefit from in-house training sessions led by company specialists, focusing on soft skills development and essential competencies like time management, personal management, project planning, and presentation skills.
This year, the program is available not only at Dhiraagu’s Head Office in Malé but also at operation centers in Addu City, Fuvahmulah City, Kulhudhuffushi City, Baa Atoll, and Ari Atoll.
The program is open to Maldivians aged 18 to 30 who have completed their A’ Levels or a bachelor’s degree and are not currently employed full-time. Applications can be submitted via Dhiraagu’s website until December 1st.
Since its launch in 2009, the Dhiraagu Apprenticeship Program has trained 268 young people, many of whom have gone on to build successful careers within the company and other organizations across the Maldives.
