Tajikistan has formalized an agreement to provide 30-day on-arrival visas for Maldivian citizens.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, Maldives’ Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and Jonibek Hikmat, Tajikistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
Previously, Maldivians enjoyed a unilateral visa-free regime with Tajikistan, allowing a 30-day stay. The new agreement officially establishes the provision of on-arrival visas.
Maldivian passport holders currently have visa-free access to over 60 countries worldwide.
