HDC Opens Hulhumalé Phase 2 Land Sale for Maldivians

The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced the sale of land plots in Hulhumalé Phase 2, marking the eighth round of such opportunities for prospective buyers. This latest announcement offers 10 plots, including 3 premium beachfront plots and 7 desirable beachside plots, available exclusively for Maldivians and 100% locally owned companies.

Pricing and Plot Details

  • Beachfront Plots: Sized between 1,550 and 3,250 square feet, these are priced at MVR 4,500 per square foot. A smaller plot of 1,550 square feet is priced at MVR 7 million, while larger plots of 3,250 square feet are valued at MVR 14.6 million.
  • Beachside Plots: Measuring between 1,230 and 1,534 square feet, these plots are priced at MVR 4,000 per square foot, with prices ranging from MVR 5 million to MVR 6.1 million.

Hulhumalé: A Growing Community

HDC has been actively facilitating land ownership in Hulhumalé since May of this year, with a total of approximately 70 plots sold so far. In the past three months alone, the corporation announced multiple land sales, including:

  • November: 8 plots
  • October: 18 plots
  • September: 16 plots

Last year, HDC held two rounds of land sales, offering a total of 30 plots across those opportunities.

Exclusive Opportunity for Maldivians

These land sales are restricted to Maldivian nationals aged 18 and above and companies that are entirely locally owned, ensuring that the benefits of development remain within the community.
