The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has announced the opening of applications for two vacant positions.
According to the President’s Office, the deadline for submissions is 12:00 noon on December 16.
The vacancies were created following the resignations of Vice President Abdul Salaam and Member Thoha Mohamed. Their resignations came after a parliamentary committee recommended their dismissal over alleged integrity and disciplinary issues.
In his resignation letter to the President’s Office, Thoha Mohamed stated that he had carried out his duties freely and honestly in line with the Constitution and the law. However, he cited the allegations and the no-confidence motion as factors that made it impossible to continue working independently.
The ACC currently comprises President Adam Shamil and members Shiyama Mohamed and Shazna Hashim.
