A Maldivian man reported missing during his Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia has been found safe and unharmed.
Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed confirmed on December 28, 2024, that 63-year-old Hussain Mohamed Didi from Fuvahmulah had been located in good health.
Hussain had traveled to Saudi Arabia on December 27, 2024, as part of the Yalamlam Hajj and Umrah Group. He was reported missing after completing his pilgrimage and was last seen wearing Ihram attire, with a Yalamlam group pass around his neck.
The Yalamlam Hajj and Umrah Group expressed their gratitude to the authorities and everyone who assisted in locating the missing pilgrim.
