The Maldives has upheld its title as the holder of the most powerful passport in South Asia for the fifth consecutive year.
Ranked 53rd globally on the Henley Passport Index, the Maldivian passport stands out as the strongest in the region, granting visa-free access to 94 countries.
India follows as the second-strongest in South Asia, holding the 85th position globally, with its passport providing visa-free travel to 57 countries.
On the global stage, Singapore leads with the world’s most powerful passport, enabling visa-free entry to 195 countries. Japan, previously among the top-ranked, has now shifted to the second position.
