The Ministry of Transport has given permission to start issuing licenses to 10 centers in the provinces.
This is a step taken by the Ministry to further strengthen the licensing system in Maldives.
The Transport Minister said the move would solve the difficulties faced by the people of the provinces in obtaining licenses. The opening of these centers will enable the people of the provinces to obtain licenses without traveling to Male’ City, he said.
Special training programs have been conducted to improve the quality of these centers and enhance the capacity of the staff working there. This work will facilitate reliable service delivery, the ministry said.
In addition, the ministry is also monitoring the centers that are currently issuing licenses. The ministry said this is to maintain the standards used in issuing licenses and improve the quality of service.
