Allied Insurance has reactivated its cashless service after a brief suspension following a policy change involving the Aasandha insurance program. This move initially would affect private insurance holders, who would require to pay upfront and seek reimbursement later. Allied, the leading insurance provider in the Maldives, initially paused cashless transactions in response to a policy mandating that Aasandha claims be covered only after private insurance limits were reached.
In a recent email to healthcare providers, Allied announced its decision to continue offering cashless services for outpatient services up to certain coverage limits. This update allows patients to receive treatment without immediate payment and submit bills directly to Allied.
ADK Hospital held a press conference to discuss these adjustments, clarifying that private insurers should regularly check patient coverage limits through their portals. Emergency treatment will still be provided as needed, even before billing adjustments are processed.
