Dhiraagu has reaffirmed its commitment to providing high-speed internet connectivity to all Amaan Veshi alternative state care homes and Amaan Hiyaa temporary shelters nationwide. This initiative is aimed at supporting the educational needs of vulnerable children under state care.
Amaan Veshi and Amaan Hiyaa, operated by the Family and Children’s Service Centers (FCSC) in various atolls, serve as homes for children without parental care and as shelters for victims of domestic violence and abuse.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, Dhiraagu will offer high-speed Fibre Broadband services to Amaan Veshi and Amaan Hiyaa facilities managed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development. These facilities are located in B. Eydhafushi, Sh. Funadhoo, HA. Dhidhdhoo, Dh. Kudahuvadhoo, L. Fonadhoo, N. Manadhoo, Lh. Naifaru, Fuvahmulah City, Kulhudhuffushi City, and Addu City.
Through this initiative, Dhiraagu aims to support all 10 FCSCs across the country in fostering digital literacy and addressing the educational requirements of children under state care.
The company emphasizes that supporting children and youth remains a core focus of its CSR efforts. Over the years, Dhiraagu has consistently supported state care facilities, including Kudakudhinge Hiyaa in Villimale’.
In addition to providing internet services, Dhiraagu collaborates with NGOs and offers program-based assistance throughout the year to empower young people.
