A fire broke out at a water villa in the One & Only Reethi Rah Resort late last night.
The Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) reported the incident on X (formerly Twitter) around 3:00 AM, stating they had received an alert and were responding to the situation.
According to MNDF, the fire originated in the thatched roof of the villa but was successfully controlled and extinguished by resort staff.
It remains unclear whether guests were present in the villa at the time of the incident. However, MNDF confirmed that no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
