Former NDA CEO Imad Solih Appointed Secretary General of Addu City Council

Imad Solih, the former CEO of the National Drug Agency (NDA), has been appointed as the Secretary General of the Addu City Council. The appointment, announced by the council on Sunday, fills the vacancy previously held by Ahmed Shujau.

The position of Secretary General is a Civil Service Commission appointment and comes with a monthly salary of MVR 20,500 and an executive allowance of MVR 15,000.

Imad served as CEO of the NDA from November 1, 2022, until July 3, 2024, before being dismissed unanimously by the board following a performance assessment that indicated the agency’s work was lagging behind expectations.

His new role at the Addu City Council marks a fresh chapter in his career, contributing to the governance and development of the southernmost city in the Maldives.
