- 2 Millionth Tourist: An Australian woman visiting with her husband and two children was recognized as the 2 millionth tourist.
- Awards and Gifts: The family received a six-day stay at Saii Lagoon Maldives and special gifts from key organizations, including MMPRC, MACL, Maldives Immigration, and Maldives Customs Service.

- Future Target: With the completion of the new VIA terminal expected next year, the government aims to welcome 2.2 million tourists in 2025.
