The Maldives has recorded over 32,000 tourist arrivals in the first five days of 2025, marking a 17.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to the Ministry of Tourism.

Following a record-breaking 2024 with 2 million tourist arrivals, the Government has set an ambitious target of 2.2 million arrivals for 2025. To achieve this, multiple initiatives are underway to position the Maldives as a premier travel destination globally.
