A new Police Post has officially opened in K. Dhiffushi, advancing the Maldives Police Service’s initiative to establish a law enforcement presence on every inhabited island within the next five years.
The facility was inaugurated during a ceremony attended by Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau and Dhiffushi Council President Ibrahim Sunil. As part of the event, Council President Sunil raised the national flag, while Commissioner Shujau hoisted the police flag.
In his address, CP Shujau underscored the significance of having a police presence on every island to ensure internal security, public safety, and community peace. He stressed that this step is vital for effectively preventing and investigating crimes.
CP Shujau also shared that the Maldives Police Service is undergoing administrative reforms to improve service quality and implement enhancements aimed at boosting the institution’s efficiency in law enforcement and safeguarding communities.
