A ruling party lawmaker has criticized the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) on social media a week after MPs argued about corruption in state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
In a post on X, Hulhumale’ Uthuru MP Hussain Shareef shared a screenshot of a complaint in a WhatsApp group about areas without street lighting in Hulhumale’ Phase Two.
“What service is the top-heavy HDC providing to the people?” MP Hussain questioned.
Social media users who commented on the post also criticized HDC. They said such a post from a ruling party MP proves the failure of HDC.
