STELCO has initiated a campaign to clean electrical distribution boxes across the streets of Male’.
The program was launched by STELCO Managing Director Hussain Fahmy, Minister of Climate Change, Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim, and Male’ City Mayor Adam Azim. As part of the initiative, stickers, posters, and advertisements pasted on substations and distribution boxes will be removed.
The drive began yesterday with the removal of posters from the distribution box outside STELCO’s Head Office.
In addition to Male’, STELCO, which also serves 35 other islands including Hulhumale’ and Vilimale’, confirmed plans to clean distribution boxes across all serviced areas.
Electrical boxes in Male’ are often cluttered with old campaign posters, rental advertisements, and other notices, making this cleanup a welcome effort to enhance the city’s appearance.
