Ahmed Mubeen, Managing Director of Regional Airports Company, has been elected as the Chairman of New Radiant Football Club.
The election took place during the club’s congress held yesterday at Dharubaaruge. With only one candidate running for each position, the elections were conducted through a show of hands.
The new board includes several notable figures, such as Mujuthaba Jaleel (Mujay), Managing Director of WAMCO, who was elected as Senior Vice President. Henveiru West MP Ali Ibrahim (Kappi) was also elected as a Senior Vice President. The club’s legal counsel is Maazin Hussain Ibrahim.
Other board members include Ismail Rasheed, Zaheenuddin Saeed, Ahmed Yoosuf, Mohamed Yoosuf, Ahmed Musa, Mohamed Shakeel, Moosa Saeed, Abdu Aboobakuru, and Mohamed Ali Umar Farhan.
The election follows the resignation of former Chairman Ahmed Wasif, who stepped down with two years remaining in his term. Wasif stated that his resignation was intended to facilitate the election of a new board to lead the club forward.
