Customs seized 3.48 kg of drugs that were being smuggled into the country this week.
Customs said 2.44 kg of cocaine was seized on Saturday while 1.04 kg of heroin was seized on Monday.
The heroin was seized while trying to smuggle it through post. The cocaine was seized at Velana International Airport (VIA).
Drug smuggling through the post has increased recently with over MVR 900,000 worth of drugs smuggled through post seized by Customs last year alone.
