Male’ City Council is looking to partner with a supplier to provide cat food for the Olhu Hiyaa cat shelter. In a recent announcement, the council invited interested suppliers to a briefing session at their offices on November 20 at 10:00 AM, where they can gather additional information and submit quotes. Only those attending the session will be eligible to apply, and quotes submitted after the deadline won’t be considered.
The council has specified that eligible applicants include Maldivian companies, partnerships, and businesses with local investment permits. Olhu Hiyaa, located in Hulhumale’ Phase 2 and covering over 5,000 square feet, is designed to care for stray cats. The facility is equipped with a veterinary clinic, laboratory, quarantine, and recreational spaces for the animals, although it is not yet operational for cat relocation.
