Over the course of her 13-year career, Nina Mohammed has become a prominent name in Middle Eastern marketing, recognized on two global lists for her influence in the field. With a marketing degree from Malaysia, Nina began her career with the Villa Group, later joining Hotel Jen as an Assistant Marketing and Communications Officer in 2014. A decade-long tenure at Shangri-La saw her rise to managerial roles, including overseeing operations in Singapore during the pandemic—a role that led to her promotion and marked her as a leader within the company.
In a pivotal moment, Shangri-La’s CEO encouraged her to explore larger roles, connecting her with the company’s Vice President of Marketing. While the decision to relocate was challenging due to family ties and her longstanding commitment to the fitness industry, she accepted the opportunity to work abroad, embracing it as a step forward in her career.
Nina eventually moved to Oman, where she directed marketing for three resorts before transitioning to a new opportunity in the UAE. Currently, she leads marketing and PR efforts for Movenpick Resort Al Marjan Island under Eco Hotels, one of the largest global hospitality groups. Her work earned her a spot on the prestigious Middle East Marketing Power List and recognition as one of the 30 most influential PR professionals in the region. Proud of her accomplishments, Nina views these milestones as testament to her dedication to the industry amidst the competitive landscape of UAE’s 1,000+ resorts and hotels.
