Visit Maldives (Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation, MMPRC) launched a groundbreaking campaign, “The World’s Biggest Giveaway,” offering 52 holiday prizes—one for each week of the upcoming year. Announced at World Travel Mart (WTM) London 2024, this initiative aims to engage global travelers through monthly social media contests. Each month, four winners will be drawn to receive a free Maldives vacation, showcasing unique aspects of the destination, such as pristine beaches, vibrant culture, luxury, and adventure options like diving and family activities.
Highlighting the Maldives’ appeal as a year-round travel destination, MMPRC’s CEO, Ibrahim Shiuree, called this campaign a perfect opportunity for travelers worldwide to experience the iconic “Sunny Side of Life.” The promotion aims to boost awareness of the Maldives’ diverse attractions, inviting participants to discover its serene natural beauty and cultural richness through social media interactions.
Besides this campaign, Visit Maldives remains committed to enhancing the Maldives’ status as a top travel destination through global trade shows, webinars, and roadshows. Looking ahead, MMPRC’s 2025 plans also emphasize sustainability and new tourism avenues, including film and wellness tourism.
